A 20 in the Couch

I’ve found a fair amount of cash stashed away in my life. Don’t be too impressed. It has more to do with absentmindedness and bad pockets than it does anything else!

What can be better than reaching into the couch cushions and pulling out a crunched up 20 dollar bill? Not much, right? Or, finding a “finski” (Ferris Bueller, you’re my hero!) tucked into a pocket of your billfold? Not much, that’s for sure. It’s the kind of little thing in life that, no matter how crappy the day has gotten, gives you hope.

Well, I didn’t find a 20 … or a 5… actually, didn’t find a cent. But, while packing for a trip, I stumbled upon a stack of AMAZING sweats that a) I didn’t remember I had kept because b) I never dreamed that I’d be able to fit into them again! Whoo-hoo! It’s an early Christmas!

I packed the WHOLE stack. I was giddy! I have no idea if I’ll wear any of them, but I wanted them to be close to me – right now! Husband just shook his head and muttered something about how women should never throw away clothes because they never maintain the weight they think they are going to. It didn’t matter. I was so happy about my find, I didn’t even get annoyed!

Sweats. Really? Better than a 20? Tonight, you betcha!

Now, if I could just figure out how to find, say, a new laptop in the linen closet … meh, today I’m overjoyed by my ” brand new” sweats!
